EAP Consultant

Description:  

Provides telephonic and Face to Face holistic needs assessments, in the moment crisis intervention, and problem resolution for participants connecting with BHS services. This position works collaboratively with all departments to ensure customer and participant satisfaction of program services. This is a Full -Time Exempt role reporting to the Supervisor of Clinical Services.  

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Face-to-face or telephonic Consultation to supervisors, managers and HR on organizational and employee issues  
  • Telephonic Consultation and/or onsite support and related follow up in response to crisis or traumatic incidents  
  • Onsite EAP or related workplace services as requested  
  • Provide consultative services for client companies requesting onsite services including trainings, critical incident stress management services and additional onsite services to ensure appropriate coordination and delivery. 
  • Provide supervisory consultations with HR/Managers/Occupational Health to assess for workplace issues/trends and provide suggestions and assist with development (aftercare monitoring for up to one year for mandatory, substance abuse and high-risk cases. 
  • Accept calls for all EAP self-referrals and supervisory referrals; educate clients on and connect to various services available and applicable through EAP/Wellness services.  
  • Supervisory training, employee orientation and other onsite or web-based program promotional activities  
  • A variety of supervisory or employee educational workshops or skill building seminars/ webinars  
  • Ongoing program management activities and support to customers  
  • As needed clinical or problem consultation to other BHS team members  
  • Educate clients on and connect to various services available through BHS program  
  • Conduct client intake and perform holistic needs assessment. This includes assessment for various risk factors including depression, substance abuse, domestic violence, child/elder abuse, threats of violence suicide and homicide.  
  • Utilizes various interventions such as: motivational interviewing, solution-focused consultation, behavior modification, intrinsic coaching, to resolve participant issues/concerns.  
  • Assist callers in crisis situations and identify immediate solutions for trauma.  
  • Maintain accurate and complete client information in our customized computer program.  
  • Connect clients to appropriate benefits available through their employer or the community  
  • Provide supplemental resources as needed, including tip sheets, brochures, articles and websites  
  • Ensure client satisfaction  
  • Participation in on-call rotation  
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned  

Education/certification 

  • Minimum Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field  
  • Licensure at the highest level available in the state, or eligible to do so within 90 days  
  • LEAP 
  • CEAP 
  • SAP 

Required experience: 

  • 3-7 years’ experience directly related to EAP counseling  
  • EAP and/or case management experience  
  • Specialization in EAP or a minimum of two years post graduate experience working full time as a clinician in the EAP field

Summary
The EAP Consultant will manage a book of BHS customer programs to ensure successful execution of program and EAP service deliverables.  They will also provide EAP counseling and organizational consultations and work collaboratively with other departments within BHS to ensure customer and participant satisfaction of program services.

Graphic Design Intern

BHS is a leading national provider of corporate health and wellness programs located in Baltimore, MD. We are seeking a savvy graphics intern to join our team for a dynamic internship opportunity. This internship is ideal for a skilled graphic design student who is looking to learn and be challenged in a creative, corporate work environment.

Areas of interest:

Design, Branding, Editing of both Print and Digital Materials. Materials created will inspire, inform and educate the audience about BHS products of services.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the design of various projects: print and digital materials, brochures, banners, postcards, business cards, etc.
  • Developing, editing and managing a library of marketing collateral templates consistent with the BHS brand.
  • Work with our marketing team on a wide range of production work that includes, but is not limited to, campaign creation, formatting, exporting and uploading of all project types.
  • General help with other miscellaneous tasks.

Required knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Hands on knowledge in designing with the Adobe Creative Suite in a Mac environment.
  • An eye for typography (proper kerning, leading, etc.).
  • Detail oriented and well organized.
  • Ability to follow style guides, instructions and critique feedback.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking is a necessity.
  • Able to work independently when necessary.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and WordPress a plus.
  • Video editing experience a plus.

Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years of age or older and enrolled in a college or university.
  • Internships require working a minimum of 16 hours per week with a maximum of 40 hours per week.
  • Qualified students in their junior/senior year of college will be considered.

This position can qualify for school credit per approval from the respective institution.  This internship is unpaid.
